OSIA, through its 750 lodges, and its two subsidiary entities, the Sons of Italy Foundation (SIF) and the Commission for Social Justice (CSJ), work to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Americans of Italian descent.

Through OSIA's philanthropic and social undertakings, we represent the interests of Italian-Americans young and old, as well as professionals in all fields of endeavor. In cooperation with the United States and Italian governrnents. OSIA seeks to strengthen trade, business, political, and educational opportunities.

Testimonials from well know Italian-Americans

First In Education

"Beyond recognizing America's outstanding youth. OSIA's extensive scholarship programs reinforce public efforts to provide equal access to quality education. I am confident that OSIA will continue to build upon its unrivaled record as the premier organization representing men and women of Italian descent in the United States."

The late U.S. Congressman Silvio O. Conte (R-Mass.)

First In Charity

"It is in great part due to the generous support of the Order Sons of Italy in America that the Liberty Centennial Campaign has surpassed its goal. I am certain that you will take pride in knowing what a major role the Order Sons of Italy in America played in the restoration of this historic symbol"

Lee A. Iacocca, chairman, Liberty Centennial Campaign (Statue

of Liberty, Ellis Island Restoration)

First In Involvement

"The basic thing that the Sons of Italy as an organization has done is to remind us that it is perfectly acceptable and, as a matter of fact, desirable to be both an American and a person who recognizes his or her own special origins".

Former New York Governor Mario M. Cuomo

First In The Community

"Unlike other organizations that espouse, through empty rhetoric, their community involvement, the men and women of OSIA have manifested their concern for safe and secure communities through their generous support of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial."

Donna Lanwnaco, former president, Concerns of Police Survivors

First In Family Values

"I was taught that family was always number one... before making movies, before any TV shows, before any recording contracts. Those ideals that were instilled in me come from deep Italian roots and deep Italian hearts."

Annette Funicello, actress
